The past year I've been working on a new project: Sounding Lines.  It's a research into our relationship with the sea. I looked into how we humans have shaped the seabed of the North Sea over the past 200 years. One might think of the sea as a liquid wilderness, but the North Sea is actually a very human space. As all spaces we inhabit, we've changed it, adapted it to our needs. It's a story where geopolitical strategies, climate action, and economic hopes come together. I recorded the sounds of an offshore windfarm and some of the last remaining wild oyster banks in the North Sea and bring them together in an immersive, multichannel story. Sounding Lines  exists in multiple forms, as a live set, an intimate performance, or an installation. The piece is the result of the STARTS4Water II residency program and will premiere at Ars Electronica 2025. Other dates TBA.
